What is Monitor ?
A monitor is an electronic output device that displays information in pictorial form and is an user interface that allows the user to interact with the computer.
Types of Monitors
1. Cathode Ray Tube Monitors
CRT Monitor is one of the oldest types of computer display device. It uses the gun that fire a three electron beams over millions of phosphor dots to create an image on the screen.
2. Liquid Crystal Display Monitor
LCD monitors uses a layer of liquid crystals which is embedded into the display screen to produce an image instead of an electron beam.
3. Light Emitting Diode Monitor
It is a flat screen computer monitor. A light emitting diode monitor is an upgraded version of an LCD display. Both LCD and LED monitors uses a panel of LEDs transparent electrodes to control different pixels.
4. Organic Light Emitting Diode Monitor
An OLED display is created by a series of organic thin films between two conductors. These displays do not need a backlight. It provides better image quality.
5. Plasma Screen Monitors
A plasma screen is a thin flat panel which uses small cells of charged gases to create an image over the display screen.
